For What and How is Calcium Used?

Osteoporosis is a term familiar to most people. It is the progressive decalcification (degeneration) of the bones throughout a person’s body. What are Nano Particles and Why are They Important?

The Secret Element of Cal-Mag
The secret element that makes Nano Calcium-Magnesium unique: the use of calcium gluconate in ionic form with a blend of magnesium and vinegar acetic acid with tannins removed.
What is calcium gluconate? Calcium + gluconate, or a carbohydrate (complex sugar), which is very readily metabolized by the body for the production of energy. Nano Calcium-Magnesium has a calcium ion attached to a gluconate molecule at the point of ingestion. It can then separate itself into calcium ions and gluconate molecules, or in some cases, remain as one complex.
What is the advantage of using this form of calcium complex in Nano Calcium-Magnesium vs other types of complexes, such as calcium citrate? One key factor is the glucose molecule, which is a rich source of energy plus a great source of calcium. It is known that glucose is absorbed in the blood, that being where energy is utilized. Glucose is transported into cells but only does so in a controlled series of steps. It is dismantled during those steps and transported through many different steps that are utilized within the body. The steps taken in the transport of glucose are detailed, so we will discuss the benefits of those steps instead of the detailed process.
Glucose is converted into end products, one of which is pyruvate, which ends up being fed into the Krebs cycle, there being completely oxidized. This is a natural source of energy from glucose.
Pyruvate, according to several studies, does many things in the body. Dr. Greenway from Pennington Research Center in Louisiana states: "Pyruvate decreases cholesterol in high-fat diets, has an important antioxidant activity and seems to improve cardiac function." Another important function of pyruvate is the increase in endurance.
Through several processes, the conversion of glucose ends up in the respiratory chain where it is converted to energy and into ATP molecules.
Another key factor is the balanced synergy of the ingredients. It is known that the hormone insulin is secreted by the beta cells of the pancreas in response to increased blood glucose concentrations. The secret within Nano Calcium-Magnesium is the balance of ionic magnesium/calcium, which normalizes these imbalances. With the balancing of gluconate, glucose is maintained and enhanced. Therefore, Nano Calcium-Magnesium's synergistic formula effectively helps people with abnormal blood sugar levels to normalize their levels, (to a lesser or greater degree, depending on the person.)
Another example of the body's need for glucose is in the brain. The brain depends on glucose for its energy, and without it, the brain ceases to function. As the attached molecules of Nano Calcium-Magnesium's calcium complex move it to the brain, it enhances the neurotransmission potential; or said another way, it initiates neurotransmitter release, thus acting as a second messenger system within the body.
This formulation has had tremendous success with overcoming headaches, which is attributed to the unique synergistic complex. Other calcium complexes, such as calcium citrate, are unable to utilize the efficient delivery system of Nano Calcium-Magnesium ionically. The body contains what is known as "Volkman's Vesicles," or the nutrient vesicle. This is where nutrients are transported to replenish bone. Nutrients must enter via blood vessels. Gluconate is a form of glucose that supplies energy to cells, thus giving rise to better movement within the cells. If the body needs to transport calcium via the nutrient vesicle, Nano Calcium-Magnesium's calcium is attached to gluconate, an energy source which is readily absorbed into the body's calcium reserve system, the bones.
Red blood cells do not contain mitochondria and are, therefore, exclusively dependent on anaerobic oxidation of glucose for their ATP supply, for which Nano Calcium-Magnesium is a good source.
Calcium has a function in membrane permeability, and gluconate enhances that function.
As stated in previous work, it is known that calcium and magnesium must be in ionic form to enter into cells due to the pathway for transport being ion channels. The added benefit of of this product is an enhanced ability for crossing through ion channels of cells, calcium and magnesium pathways and into cells via glucose's (gluconate) added energy, which is needed in the respiratory functions of the cell.
Through the use of calcium gluconate the body responds more favorably to calcium supplementation, which is good for excitation-contraction coupling in muscles, meaning less leg cramps and restless legs.
